    Hi June,

    thanks.
it is a bit of a pain as it’s going to take me a couple of hours to rebuild the pages and I’ve not had time yet, hopefully I can do it later today and get all the videos listed again..

    cheers,

Hey Matt, I must say that you have the “fhatest” blog that i have ever seen and i wish i would have known about you before, but you found me, i received an email but i don’t recall signing up for any of your offers. Anyhow Matt i wanted to inform you that the bottom of this page some of the text is over lapped, is that done purposely ❓ 🙄

    1. admin

      Hi Steven,
i guess you mean the “Tags” that stick out from the side of the theme, which is just a quirk of the theme.
      🙂

      Matt

Very impressive list of videos. I am not quite sure how I found your blog but glad I did. I’m a newbie to wordpress and am self-hosting and have been scratching my head trying to figure out how to modify my theme. I am hoping your video for header customization will do the trick. Thanks so much for the info. Great site!

    Hi Matt,

    Thanks for the useful information.

I have a question about installing an Aweber opt-in on a WP Blog.

I watched your video and followed it to the “t”, my Blog looks great in Fire Fox, but the Opt-in Boxes and the Submit Button, go right off the Blog, on the right hand side, when I browse it with IE.

Have you run into this problem?

If so, what did you do to fix it?

I have been trying to get this figured out for sometime and I have tried various free themes, with the same results.

    Thanks for your help! 😀

      Hi Scott,
it’s not a problem I’ve seen myself, and it could be to do with the theme design, but try putting the whole section of code within
tags to see if it fixes the problem.
      cheers,
      Matt

    Hi Matt
I’m having a problem viewing video no. 2 ‘Creating Header Graphics For Sites : 3.3Mins’. It goes for about 16 sec and then just stops. Do you perhaps have another link that I can use?

    Many thanks,
    Yvette

    Hi Yvette,
the video works ok for me, try it in a different browser, or you could search for the same video on Revver.com
    cheers,
    Matt

hey matt i need some help with this question i read one of your post about how adsense close ur account. what you think about uniue articles that post to your blog would google cancel your adsense account for that reason ? or its just from crap content?

      1. admin

        Hi Osborne,
my AdSense accounts were closed for very different reasons, it was 5 years ago now and I was doing “black hat” stuff back then.
You’re not likely to lose your AdSense account for using UAW.
        cheers,
        Matt

        1. osbourne

thanks matt i will try now to get UAW up and running 😆

  9. PopuTech

A lot of tutorials! Wow! I guess I’ll be a resident of your blog now. 🙂

    Hi Matt

I am trying to summarize my post by putting only two paragraphs on the page and then using the ‘read more’ link, but with no success. I am using WordPress 2.6 and have tried the ‘more’ icon, but obviously I am doing something wrong. Do you perhaps have a video on this or instructions I can follow? Have spent a long time on researching this, found a lot of different codes, but note sure how to use them and I would really like to get it right so that I can add my first post.

    Many thanks,
    Yvette

    Hi,

Impressive list! How about making them downloadable for us that have college kids in the house hogging all the bandwidth with 4 chats open, 1 streaming movie, 3 shopping websites….????

    Bill

    1. admin

      Hi William,
I’d rather not as that would mean moving the whole site to it’s own dedicated server just to deal with the extra bandwidth needed, sorry!
kick the kids off the puter for an hour, tell ’em they need to get some fresh air, that’s what I do with mine, although it doesn’t always work. 🙂
      chees,
      Matt

  12. Mike Maggs

    Hello Matt,

I just finished uploading a new WP “poker” theme after watching your video. Everything seemed to upload fine, however, when I went to refresh in the WP admin there was a note saying that there was no stylesheet or template. I checked the unzipped file and these items were not listed. Any suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Mike Maggs

    1. admin

      Hi Mike,
you’ll have to get in touch with the creator of the themes to ask for themissing files…
      cheers,
      Matt

  13. Louise

    Hi Matt,
Just a quick query. I can’t get the top and bottom banners to work in the Theme Editor for Blue Simple. When I upload images from the computer, it’s not keeping the change and just shows text links on the page (I did change it to picture rather than text in the editor). Is this because I’m using the latest WP 2.7.1 or am I missing an extra bit of editing I need to do? Any suggestions gratefully received as I’ve never had this problem with it before. 🙂

    Lou

    1. admin

      Hi Louise,
I’ve just tested the banner function out on one of my WPv2.7 blogs and didn’t have any problems with it, I’ll upgrade the blog to v2.7.1 tho and check that as well, just in case.
just to check though, are you choosing the “picture” option from the drop down menu when you upload the image for the link?
      cheers,
      Matt

    Hi Matt… : )

By shere chance, I have just stumbled upon one of your sites and have registered for the free learn how to blog info etc.

To say I was impressed with that site and this one – which I checked out because of you mentioning your free ‘how to’ videos .. would be an understatement – I think your blog and this site are absolutely terrific!

I have just glimpsed one of your vid’s to see how they pan out and again, your delivery and expertise is clear, concice and very professional – absolutely brilliant.

Being a newbie, in my mid sixties, who needs to try and develop a supplemental income on line from scratch, by way of developing a web presense, using a blogg and a website etc., I am totally thown and daunted by the whole thing 🙁

I have already ( like milllions before me lol) done a bundle n so called guru products and on instant success projects, which have made mea lot wiser albeit alot broker.

Given the clarity of your delivery and the clean line of the sites that you have produced, I feel that you would be an excellent marketer to get involved with : )

Can you advise me, therefore, where I shold best start from, in this minefield called internet marketing. As clearly, i do not have a lot more money that I can waste on ‘rubbish’ or more to the point, life years to get something sorted, that just might – MIGHT – help my family out financially.

As stated, I am a newbie in this field …. and I suppose a bit of a luddite where the internet is concerened : ) so I need clear and concise programmes best suited for the big in heart, if somewhat thick in brain brigade… lol..

Given the points as outlined, if you have a spare moment in your busy day, and can suggest a starting point / product / way forward, it would be very much appreciated.
In the meantime and what ever the outcome maybe, I would like to take his opportunity of wishing you every continued success in all your online endeavours.. as the hard work you have put in, is there for all to see and makes any rewards richly deserved!!

My sincere regards and all the very best to you and yours …

  16. Judy Tucker

Hi, I uploaded the themes. However, no matter what I do, I cannot get the
blog title changed. I have watched the videos. It is showing that the title
has been changed at the top, but It did not change on the header when I visit the
    site.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thank you.

    1. admin

      Hi Judy,
it could be your webhost, unfortunately the feature doesn’t work with all hosts because of the security settings some use.
      cheers,
      Matt
