Hi Lyn,
first time you do one it seems like some kind of "weird science", so I hoped the video would help..

The simplest way I know of to customize your merchant name is to change the email to one that is on your business website
e.g. paypal@yourbusinesswebsitename.com

The other option (although I've not tried this myself) is setup a custom payment page, I just had a quick look and it doesn't look to difficult to do.

go to My Account -> Profile -> Custom Payment Pages (under the Selling Preferences column).

As for changing the payment button to a custom payment button, you might want to watch the video again, especially the bit that starts 2 minutes in, it shows how I use my own custom payment button graphic on the example site..

cheers,
MattG

Thanks for this Matt. I struggled through making a button the other day and hadn't a clue whether I was doing it right. I'd also like to know if there's a way to customise your own merchant name, and the button purchasers have to click on to get to the product. Purchasers would find my my paypal email ID very unfamiliat, and I think that would be offputting and encourage people to back out.
