I’ve been catching up on reading some of my favorite blogs and spotted a wicked example of “Linkbait”.
The link was on Neil Shearing’s blog (thanks Neil) and it really is worth taking a quick look at, as it might just get your creative juices flowing for some linkbaiting of your own..
Here’s the site:
http://producten.hema.nl
give it a moment or two to load up and just watch what happens to the page…
oh, and the site is dutch, so I’ve no idea what it actually says.
If you’re wondering what “linkbait” is, it’s simply a way of trying to attract backlinks from other sites/blogs by providing something worth linking to, it could be valuable content, it could be a free report, or (as in this case) just something cool and funny..

I thought I’d share some of the best Blog tools I use today.
the first is to aitomate the whole process of getting traffic from Web 2.0 Social bookmarking sites and it works like a charm.
I set this set up on a dozen of my blogs a couple of weeks ago to test it out and it’s made a real difference to the traffic to ALL of those blogs.
the increase in traffic varies from just 40 or 50 extra visitors a day on average, to several hundred on some blogs, and after setting this plugin up I don’t have to touch it again, it just works on auto pilot everytime a new post is made to one of my blogs!
if you want to be able to get fresh new traffic to your blogs from Web 2.0 sites, but don’t want to spend all that time visiting each social bookmark site then check this one out:
Auto Social Bookmarking Plugin

second is an update on one of my long standing favorite tools.

you may have realised by now that this is not my only website, in fact I run too many!
If you’re new too making money online then one of the best bits of advice I can give you is don’t get carried away with setting up loads and loads of new sites, it can seriously dilute your efforts.
Work on one or two main sites until you get them doing well and making money and then write down the process you used, do it again to make sure it works and to iron out any wrinkles, and then use the profits to outsource as much of the work as you can to build more profitable site, but do it a stage at a time, otherwise it’s easy to loe focus.
Oh, and have a plan for what each site is for.
I managed to grab a few mat”x”.com sites over the last few years, but I never really had a plan as to what I was going to use them for, until recently.
Mat1.com is becoming one of my main list building sites (thanks to www.myviralspiral3.com which is awesome).

OK, first up, apologies for not posting much recently!
again…
Life’s a little hectic, although since I became a full time “internet marketer” (I stil have problems explaining that one to friends and family) it seems like I have less free time than when I had a “proper job” (as friends and fanily call working for a fixed income), at least I enjoy what I do now a lot more and don’t have to listen to what someone else (”da boss”) thinks is the right way to do things…
the good news is that the reason I’m so busy is I’ve been working on a few WP bits for you, with the help of a couple of very talented coders (programmers).
the first is a couple of new WordPress Themes that I’m having designed for my own blogs that will of course be free to you as well.
you can see an example of one of the themes on one of my test blogs here:

Adding images and pictures to your blog posts can make them look a lot more interesting, and as they say “a picture is worth a thousand words”, so I’ve done a quick vide on just how to add images in your blog posts.
The video is only 3 minutes long.
Note: You do need to have uploaded the image files in .jpg or .gif format to the /public_html/images/ folder on your webhost first, so check out the previous post about using ftp software to upload files to your host, it’s in the archives.
