They do not have upgrade or support and they might not be completable with new version of WP. I have never heard that text widget is not working, maybe it is about the theme compatibility. You will see 'Screen Options', click on ti and enable 'Accessibility Mode'. That should settle your problems. If not it could be the theme you are using, trying activating the default theme and see if your problem disappears. If so then it is your theme causing the problem. Also make sure you have the latest browser version on your computer. My preference for WordPress blogging is Firefox. Did I lose everything and not notice? So I just went and checked, and it is all there, whew. It must be a theme issue, I am using Revolution. When I was going through my site editing yesterday I was finding some strange script, "< !--Session data-- >", which I have no idea where it came from.
