New Blog Tutorial Videos

OK, I admit, I’ve been a bit lax on adding new videos again this week, sorry!

I’ve just finshed four new ones that I’ll be posting over the next few days.

They include:

1. Adding the RealTraffic Exchange Ads to your blog for free targeted visitors

2. Using SEO Friendly Permalink structures in your wordpress blogs for better search engine rankings and the Mod rewrite fix for .htaccess

3. Using “no www” url’s and why you should do this for higher pagerank and better search engine ranks

4. Creating PayPal “Buy Now” payment buttons to add to Private Label products to sell from your site for 100% profits

so either bookmark us, sign up for the newsletter, join up for our RSS feed or just come back soon…

The Best SEO Blog To Follow

As I’ve been short on time to prepare new videos recently I thought I’d introduce you to some of the blogs that I follow on a regular basis, as well as why I follow them..

I’ll also add links for a couple of wicked free tools that I use to keep up to date and find blog posts that I want to comment on at the bottom of this post…

One of the Blogs I have been following for over half a year now is Jonathon Leger’s Blog.

He only posts aroung once a week, but when he does it’s always worth reading.

He’s into SEO, but on his own terms, he tests everything himself to see what really works and what doesn’t and he’s kind enough to then share what he finds on his blog.

One of my favorite posts of his recently was all about Paid Links and Google’s current campaign to crack down on bloggers selling “Text Links” and “Paid Posts” on their blogs, it makes for VERY interesting reading…

http://www.jonathanleger.com/what-is-really-a-paid-link-anyway/

Yesterday I posted a bit of a long post on my working from home business blog, it’s over 2,500 words and uses example to show why I sometimes choose to use other marketers affiliate links to promote products.

You can read it here:

$100 Blog Post Competition

I decided to make it worth your time to read though, so I’ve added an easy competition, which you can find the details of towards the bottom of the post..

The competition is for the best 2 comments based on the question I ask in the post.

Each of the two winners will get $50!

The Competition closes on Monday, so go have a “quick” (ish) read of the post and post your comment to make sure you’re in with a chance of winning some quick cash..

$100 Blog Post Competition

N.B. you will need to have a PayPal.com account in order to receive the prize money if you win…

Just under a month ago I made a post about how I had just discovered that this blog was apparently suffering from the dreaded “Giigle PR0 penalty” virus that’s been hitting many blogs suspected by the BigG of selling text links.

feb 6th : Google PR0 Penalty

As I’ve never sold any links on this blog I came to the conclusion that it must be because I have a fairly long list of “useful resources” links in my blogroll, non of which had the Rel=”nofollow” link, as it’s not an option in the standard WordPress installation.

I went hunting for a solution and the post included a video on how to hack your WP files to add a “nofollow” tick box option for blogroll links, thanks to Zain of KnowledgeConstructs.com

I realised at the time that while this was an “ok” solution for someone like myself, who’s not totally terrifed (I’m just a little bit nervous) by the prospect of messing around in the wordpress pages code, for the vast majority of wordpress bloggers this solution is against the principle of why they use WP in the first place, they want a simple web site system that doesn’t involve messing around with code and potentially “breaking” things.

It’s a commenly held belief that brand new websites can take a long while to get indexed in Google and start getting natural traffic from the seacrh engines.

Fortunatly this belief, like many other miss informed SEO “myths”, is simply wrong, especially when it comes to blogs.

Neil Shearing is one of those marketers who tends to ignore “commonly held beliefs” and just try things out for himself, he’s previously proven that it’s perfectly possible to make money from article sites using PLR content that other people are also using.

I used a copy of his article site script to do the same, you can read about it on my Testing blog here:

automated white hat adsense sites

anyway, back to the point of this post, this time Neil has gone and proved how it’s possible to get a blog indexed in Google and getting natural SE traffic within just 3 days of the domain being registered!

The blog then went on to make it’s first sale within 10 days and made over $3,851 of sales in it’s very first month..

This video shows you how you can use the very useful AdSense Delux Plugin to add AdSense Adverts to any of your blogposts, including how to wrap text around the ads and use different ad styles.

You can find the link for the AdSense Delux Plugin on the BlogTactics Plugins Page

this short video will show you how to add AdSense Adverts to your wordpress blog header.

You will need the AdSense advert code from your AdSense account and it needs to be the banner/leaderboard style format to fit in to the header area on your WP blog
